When fall hits we feel the cold chill & want to bring in warm colors, cozy bedding & darker accents.  We’re not the only ones.  It happens every year at this time.  You change your cream comforter for the dark chocolate one.  You wear your sweats to bed & keep your sweatshirt nearby for the fall morning chill.  When Fall hits, there is absolutely something inherently comforting & cozy about dark charcoal, chocolate, deep burgundy’s & many other dark colors.  We get that homing & hibernating feel of “gettin’ ready” for the freeze.

We like to change our bedding, our rugs & even our window treatments.  It’s not hard, it’s warming.  I like to keep my prior years decor stored securely in tight lidded Rubber Maid containers of all sizes & then I always add the new stuff I’ve found when it’s time to re-decorate for the colder months.  I you have valances over blinds, it is one of the easiest switches from Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter.  Fluff them in the dryer for a few minutes, take the rod down, pull of the old valance & put the new one on.  I have found that is one of the easiest & fastest ways to change a room real fast.  Then, swap your rugs, throw blankets & throw pillows.  Switch your Summer candles & accents to your darker more cozy fall ones.  As Christmas grows closer keep your “all winter season” accents packed conveniently so when you want to close your Christmas season everything is handy.  Also, keep your Christmas re-packing materials handy.  It’s always easier to clean up after if your packing & packaging is organized, close buy & clean.  Keep your Christmas gift wrap, ribbon & gift bags closes tightly all year around as there are many elements & critters that can harm them.

Your Western Decor

Well I’m still working on my  Western Home Decor site.  I am getting further everyday but it’s a lot of work.  Especially when your kids are home on summer break & they always have friends over.  It’s hard to be inside when you’d rather be outside.

I will accomplish it though.  This home decor thing is a ton of fun to put together.

Soon I hope to get my horse treat business up & running as well.  What do you think I should call it?  I like Pearson Creek Equine.  That name leaves it open in case I want to sell other equine related items in the future.

I also have to come up with names for all my treats.  I want to name them all after famous horses & horsemen.  Also, I plan to package everything in re-useable containers.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
